Incredible slow service!

Great lunch. The staff is friendly and handled our large party well. The food was delicious I recommend the green tomato, oimento cheese sandwich. They also provided catering for a rehearsal dinner, which was delicious.

Delicious and Delightful DiningWe chose The Jockey Club for my mom's birthday dinner; we chose well! This is an upscale restaurant; the menu offers appetizers to desserts and wine, beer, and spirits. The entree menu features a wide range of choices - everything from seafood/fish to beef/veal, even pasta. There were five in our party, we all ordered different items and none of us were disappointed! Gennie was our server and she was a gracious hostess. Her timing was spot on and so pleasant to talk with. She even found a candle to place in my mom's dessert! Thank you, Gennie! Well prepared food and a delightful staff! That's a great meal! I'll be back!!

No longer open for business.

The shrimp crepe was a hot mess. There were 5 tiny shrimp floating in two inches of sauce. A soggy piece of crepe floated on top rather than being wrapped around the shrimp. The cheese topping off the dish was nicely toasted. I was given a fork to try to eat this soupy, runny mess. When I questioned the waitress about it she defended the dish rather than apologize for its poor quality, explaining that the restuarant used to be across the street. Not sure what that had to do with it. There was no offer to take the cost of the mostly uneaten food off the check.

We used the Jockey Club to host a wedding rehearsal dinner. John and Rita both were easy to work with and offered us private seating in the art gallery next door. It was the perfect size for our twenty guests and the event went off without a hitch. The food was excellent, large portions, and the wait staff was quick and attentive. I would strongly recommend using them to anyone interested in hosting a group dinner.

Nice little place. The charm is vintage, the service is great. Very good food.
